The season 2 premiere of "Glee,"introduced a few new characters to McKinley High, including new football coach Dot Jones (Shannon Beiste) and Sunshine (Charice). Hit songs included on the episode included Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" and Beyonce's "Telephone."
Actress Kristin Chenoweth played April Rhodes, a former glee club star brought back to the group by teacher Will Schuester (Matt Morrison) to replace Rachel Berry (Lea Michele). Chenoweth starred in two episodes.
