Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has extended her summer goodwill mission by flying to Haiti to visit children who were left homeless after a devastating earthquake in January.
The “Tomb Raider” star travelled to a children’s village in Santo, where nearly 500 children have been housed after the tremor,.
Jolie, who has been a UN goodwill ambassador since 2001, brought toys for the kids and even spent the night with them.
“The reason why I like to visit and support such villages in the world is because I have seen that the children are growing up in a safe and loving environment,” said Jolie.
Jolie’s trip to Haiti came just hours after she wrapped up a humanitarian stop on the Ecuadorian border with Colombia.
Where she met with villagers who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflicts in the South American region.
